OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Guiding Principle 1
A multidimensional approach to wellness
READ MORE
Therapy is not the only tool for healing and wellness. Our wellness toolbox should be multidimensional and varied, just like us. We draw from African indigenous healing practices that center on the intimate connection between physical, spirit, mind, social, and earth. Our wellness and healing toolbox includes practices such as financial planning, organizing, cooking, rituals, dancing, prayers, tarot cards, libation, meditation, nurturing relationships, and coloring books.
Guiding Principle 2
Dismantling systems of oppression
READ MORE
Addressing the systems that impede the wholeness and healing of Black and marginalized communities is integral to our work. These systems of oppression make it difficult for people to heal and cultivate their mental wellness.
Guiding Principle 3
Community and connections
READ MORE
As humans, we thrive and flourish in communities and connections. We are not meant to go through life alone. We need connections as we need oxygen.
Guiding Principle 4
Empowering upcoming therapists
