OUR APPROACH

We are not meant to do it alone. As humans, we thrive in community with others, and we need each other on our various journeys in life.
We believe that we need human connections to survive, flourish and thrive. The forces of oppression have created disconnection with each other and with ourselves.
In our work we, we focus on building a nurturing relationship with our clients and meeting our clients where they are. The relationship between you and your therapist is the driving force of any change.
Anti-Oppressive Approach
We are always examining our roles in the world and our role in the therapeutic relationship.

And we always invite whoever we are working with to reflect on these things. We invite brave conversations around race, oppression, cultural identities and privilege in our sessions.
Also, we recognize the power we hold as therapists, and we work on using that power to uphold the humanity of clients. We are not the holder of all knowledge and wisdom. We welcome ancestry knowledge, wisdom and different ways of healing.
Trauma-Informed Perspective
